Growth Mindset
We have all had fears, things in our lives where we think to ourselves “I could never do that, I'm not skilled enough” or “I am a very introverted person, so I can't do that” we put ourselves in a tight box and we leave no room for growth.
A growth mindset means stepping outside your thoughts and diving into the unknown. Because what if you discover something about yourself that sparked a change into a new beginning. That thing you've wanted to accomplish for years but you think to yourself “I could never go on a trip like that, ( not enough money) or society tells me I have to work a 9-5 even though I have been wanting to start my own business.
I want you to step outside your thoughts for a moment.
And step into the but what if it does mindset.
It all starts with your mindset, your actions, and the direction you want your life to go. success doesn't always mean happiness and happiness does equal success. you have to learn to rewire your thinking. We have the ability to literally create an amazing life. The people around us all started the same way (with nothing, it was an idea) which grew into something greater. Every one of us can do the same thing. You just have to start the process. Start now.
Here are some tips to take you in the right direction:
Challenges
- As you know there are many challenges that each individual has endured, with plenty more to come. This is your opportunity to redefine how you want to react and overcome these challenges among us.
- When you run into roadblocks, relationship problems, trauma, or grief, it can most certainly be a setback in your life, emotions, and physical well-being.
- Don't allow those emotions to pick and choose how they dictate your life. Rise above and shine brighter, use those awful moments as fuel to light your fire.
- Focusing on the past trauma or experience and not allowing yourself to let go and move on can turn you bitter and hard. You don't want that. Have a growth mindset.
Are you living a life that's aligned with your goals?
- Are you working a 9-5 at a job you hate, spending time with people you have nothing in common with but still continue to do the same monotonous work every day?
- Are you putting hard work into something that's not benefiting your growth?
- We can truly write our own story, but it's the hard work and dedication that drives us on the right path.
Do you think you are who you are, and nothing can change that?
- An introvert can still be an extrovert and vice versa. Your mind is your only limit.
- Learning new skills and growing shouldn’t ever stop. We should continue to learn something new every day. To unlock new talents and improve the person we are. This could be learning how to communicate, improving our reading, or discovering hobbies we never knew we liked.
- Listening to personal development podcasts, and exploring the mind to understand that we humans are capable of so much more in our lifetime.

Knowledge is power
“You only have one life to live, live it well and discover you”
Push yourself
- Step outside discomfort - find some events or things that you would be so afraid to attend, and go to them. Meet people. Talk. learn something new about someone else.
- "The only thing to fear is fear itself” FEAR, it's all in the mind. Don't let it control your emotions, your thoughts, and your day. Be brave and do something new.
Emotions
Now, this is a big one for me. It should be for you as well.
- Emotions are a chemical flowing through our body, they don't identify who you are. If you're sad, depressed, or angry, work through it. Figure out the real reason why you feel this way, and solve that issue right away.
- Never put a bandaid on how you feel. Letting that go will hinder your growth, your relationships your job, and the love and affection you show and reciprocate to the people around you.
- Do not blame your environment or circumstances. We all have the same potential and resources to overcome obstacles. If you're lonely, reach out to people. Learn how to meet new people and become the person you would want to be around
- If you're sad. Research why we feel sadness, or how to overcome sadness. Fill your time with improvement and get to the bottom of the feelings. You can fill your time with busyness but the real medicine is realization and understanding, don't shove it down.
- Fundamentally understanding that you're greater than the voices in your mind. Rise above that and literally take control over the direction of your life.
Take control of your emotions. “Whatever you grow in your garden will grow whether it's good or bad."
Complaining
Stop complaining, and comparing your life and start appreciating everything you do have.
- Stop comparing your life to everyone else, or focusing on what everyone else is doing. Embrace yourself and find out who you are in the process.
- If you’re complaining about your job or the people in your life. Have the confidence in yourself to let it, or them go. If it doesn't aline with your values or goals, don't allow that to pull the strings in your life. Create and write your own story.
Remember, you can either choose to stay in the darkness or head into the light. It's a road less traveled, the journey is long, and not always fun, but the voyage is worth it. So, sit back, take a deep breath and breathe because life is happening now.
